Hi, I’m Corey, the founder of CPT Social! A biology graduate from UNC Wilmington, I’ve lived all over the U.S. and worked in medical diagnostics, helping patients with COVID-19 and leukemia. Now, I’ve combined my analytical skills and passion for social media to help businesses grow online. When I’m not managing accounts, you’ll find me hiking trails, gaming, or hanging out with my cats.
My Story
I grew up in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in biology. My career started in the medical field, where I worked in diagnostic labs, running tests for COVID-19, leukemia, and other oncological conditions. It was rewarding work, but I’ve always been drawn to the ever-evolving world of marketing, social media, and especially data analytics.
Growing up alongside platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, I’ve seen firsthand how digital marketing has become essential for businesses to thrive. I realized that my analytical mindset, honed in the lab, could be a huge asset in crafting data-driven social media strategies. So, I decided to pivot and create CPT Social – a brand dedicated to helping businesses climb to new heights in the digital landscape.
When I’m not diving into analytics or creating content, you’ll find me exploring the beautiful trails around Washington state (I’m currently based just outside Seattle), gaming with friends, or relaxing at home with my cats. My journey from biology to social media might seem unconventional, but it’s taught me that with the right strategy, anything is possible.
